Civil Government of Hongkong.
With regard to the
ว.
revenci
of 1835, I may
remark
that the portion of that revenue derived from opium must
always be precarious; for several
obvious reasons. But on
this
subjest, I shall shortly transmit
a separate report, in reference,
more
particularly, to Your
Lordship's despatch n°99 of the 2nd May ultimo.
6.
Meanwhile, I hope
that the Estimates for 1885 as
voted
Goz

voted and appropriated by the Colonial Legislature will be approved; for they have been the object of the most careful attention on the part of myself and of the Excentive Council; as also of the Finance Committee and of the entire Legislative Council
I have the honour to be,
My Lord, Your Lordship's Most Obedient
Humble Servant,
S. Bowen
